Water Supply Infrastructure

We propose innovative and cost-efficient solutions to design, build, and maintain urban and rural water supply infrastructure:

  • Hydraulic modelling
  • Water production
  • Water treatment plants
  • Pumping stations
  • Reservoirs
  • Networks
  • SCADA systems
  • Management, operation and maintenance

Of all infrastructure types, water supply infrastructure is the most fundamental to life and is vital to households, industries, and commercial businesses. Drinking water systems provide a critical health function and are essential to life, economic development, and growth. Water infrastructure failures can result in service disruptions, impair emergency response, and damage other types of essential infrastructure. Yet, especially in low-income countries, still, almost 700 million people do not have access to even simple water supply infrastructure such as piped household water connections, public taps, or standpipes. In emerging and developing countries, challenges are largely different. There, utilities maintain more complex but often ageing water supply infrastructure that, in many cases, needs more investment than their budgets allow. Urban population growth, industrialisation and the effects of climate change are creating additional challenges. Thus, whether rehabilitation or new construction, municipalities and utilities need thoughtful, innovative, and cost-efficient solutions for water supply infrastructure to meet the needs of their communities as well as regulatory obligations.
