HYDROPHIL is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a UNDP-funded project in Turkmenistan. We will conduct a Climate Risk Assessment on water resources in the capital Ashgabat and on the water and agricultural sector in Dashoguz Province. The project is supporting the development of a National Adaption Planning Process for the Government of Turkmenistan to tackle the impact of climate change.

Our Project Manager, Dr Bastian Schnabel, says: “Turkmenistan has a semi-arid climate with limited freshwater resources, and the country is among the most impacted by global warming. Therefore, I’m happy to support Turkmenistan and its people in finding solutions to reduce the impact of climate change.”
