Kasulu development programme
Kasulu
is a very remote and poor district in Tanzania bordering on Burundi. There remain
many refugee camps housing Burundians who fled the conflict in their home country,
which places an additional burden on the district authorities responsible for
the provision of water supply and sanitation. hydrophil
advised ADC on the most appropriate strategy to incorporate a water supply and
sanitation component into the district’s general development programme. In addition
to the provision of advice on strategic and programmatic issues, hydrophil
provided technical support to the District Water Officer and his team to assist
in the implementation of village water supply schemes and sanitation facilities.
