Facilitation of the Annual Joint Water and Sanitation Sector Review 2007
The Joint Water and Sanitation Sector Review is a forum with representatives from the government, development partners and other stakeholders for performance assessment, budget and policy guidance, allowing a broad spectrum of stakeholders to get an insight into, discuss and influence sector developments. It is held annually. It draws conclusions and makes recommendations on overall developments in the sector.
The JSR 2007 was organized during 17th to 19th October 2007. The theme for the JSR 2007 was: Decentralization and Cost Effectiveness.
The objective of the assignment was to assist the Ugandan Ministry of Water and Environment/Directorate of Water Development
- in the organization and facilitation of the JSR 2007 to ensure that it meets the sector expectations in terms of a thorough review of the last year's sector performance (2006);
- in the follow up on the attainment of 2006 undertakings and the development of an appropriate set of undertakings for 2007.
